Planning for Active Transportation

Active transportation is defined as a means of traveling using human-powered mobility, primarily walking and biking.

A number of citywide plans include active transportation objectives aimed to provide Longmont with an efficient transportation system. Ideally, this system will enhance mobility, equitably support multiple modes of transportation, reduce environmental impacts and promote a healthier community.
