Longmont’s recreation centers serve an important role, building community through evolving lifelong recreation, leisure, and learning opportunities for the health and well-being of our residents. As our community grows, the City is evaluating our current recreational facility offerings to ensure they meet our community needs. In order to identify those needs, we need your help!

Larger climbing wall/area. All other current amenities are great!
By larger climbing wall I mean at least 3 - 4 x the current size (which is tiny).

Pump Tracks and Dirt Jumps for Advanced Bike Riders
Most other surrounding cities support these activities, but Longmont does not.

Additional Rec Center - West location. Bigger / better spot for mat work. Pilates Reformer classes.

Obviously, a full scale recreation center is sorely needed in Longmont but the pool facilities need to be greatly expanded.
Longmont has 12 lap lanes for a town of over 90,000 people. Centennial Pool will eventually be too costly to repair. We need at least 20 -30 lap lanes available for our cities swimmers. A new recreation facility needs to provide a swimming facility with expanded lanes, separate diving area, and warm water recreational area.

Full Service Recreational Center NorthWest Side of Town - maybe near the Middle school
This location would serve both the SW and NW and NorthCenter neighborhood that are severely underserved with recreational facilities. Needs an olympic pool, indoor running/jogging track, multipurpose gym, exercise classroom and indoor activities - craft room, pool tables and ping pong for people to hang out. Would be really nice if it had a snack bar and coffee shop
